Electrical Engineer
Role Summary:
As an Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for the development of embedded electrical assemblies for the Broadcast and Cinema Video Markets. This will include electrical component selection, datasheet analysis, component testing, design creation, documentation assembly, and design testing.
Main Responsibilities and Tasks:
• Work in both co-located and distributed self-organizing teams developing embedded hardware for Broadcast and Cinema Video applications. Applications include LED studio lighting and high-power battery systems.
• Perform tasks including requirements analysis, operational concept development, hardware design and development, design reviews, failure analysis and general problem solving/troubleshooting.
• Hardware design will include circuit analysis, schematic capture, PCBA layout, component selection, and assembly documentation creation.
• Collaborate closely with teammates, making and keeping daily commitments, and demonstrating your accomplishments to the company on a biweekly basis.
• Demonstrate, understand, and apply new technology and approaches to solving complex problems.
Travel Requirements:
Possible international travel 1-2 times a year.
“In office role” at the main facility in Shelton, CT majority of time with potential for distance working based on work task type.

Knowledge and Skills:
Essential:
• Excellent communicator
• 2+ years of experience with Product Development and working in a team environment.
• Experience with troubleshooting electrical circuits.
• Experience designing embedded system hardware in schematic and PCB layout methods.
Desirable:
• Someone who thrives on solving problems and working in a team environment.
• Experience with the PADs circuit design tool suite from Mentor Graphics.
• Experience in the design of multi-cell battery pack fuel gauging and protection circuitry
• Experience with regulatory compliance testing for safety and electromagnetic compatibility of electrical products as well as mitigation techniques.
• Experience with the design of DC/DC power supplies from ranging from 5W to 600W.
Education and Qualifications:
Essential:
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
• A strong candidate will have an Advanced degree, MSEE preferred
