Role Summary:
Team Management, Accounting, Closing, Audit, Free Trade Zone status and GL Analysis:
This position plays a critical role in the Finance organization responsible to deliver financial objectives. This is a leadership role focused on the technical accounting needed to achieve financial performance. This role leads and develops the CR Accounting team's activities, including General Accounting, Accounts Payable, Payroll, Balance Sheet, Audit and Financial Reporting. The controller leads a team and must prioritize the completion of all organizations people processes to the standards and deadlines agreed. i.e., coaching, developing, performance appraisals, development plans, succession, capability etc.
Additionally, the position ensures the team generates accurate and timely financial information to assist with decision making, performance management and business development. Maintains effective internal controls to ensure reporting of financial results are precise. Provides complete and suitable information to support monthly closing cycle. Leads and participates in internal and external audits as needed. This role has key interfaces with Internal and External Customers globally. The Controller will assist on strategic and tactical matters as they relate to budget management, cost benefit analysis, team development and forecasting needs.
Main Responsibilities and Tasks:
- Provide leadership and development of the CR Finance function.
- Drive leadership on site to set the right culture and drive cross functional relationships.
- Work closely with the US, EMEA and APAC controllers to drive synergies and process improvements.
- Updating the company regarding changes in legislation or regulations that may affect the business operations.

Knowledge and Skills:
Essential:
- Bilingual - English and Spanish both verbal and written.
- Experience with Free Trade Zone requirements.
- Leadership experience of managing in an international environment
- Client-driven – familiar with working with both financial and non-financial colleagues.

Desirable:
- CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or public accounting experience
- IFS or other ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems
Education and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance or related discipline
- Previous experience with Manufacturing cost accounting.
- Excel and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) experience
- 5+ years of accounting experience required.
- Knowledge of Microsoft packages (Excel required)
