Manufacturing Engineering Team Leader
Summary
As a Manufacturing engineering Team Leader, you will be responsible of lead the manufacturing engineering team promoting a positive development culture, communication and processes standardization to assure completeness of the priorities assigned. Will in charge of the sustaining and improvement of current manufacturing processes including the development of new processes required from NPI’s or strategical projects within Safety, Quality, costs, and manufacturing engineering standards
Main Responsibilities and Tasks
- Promote clear vision by setting measurable goals and objectives aligned with company strategy.
- Evaluate each team member’s performance to accomplish goals and objectives and coordinate actions to improve performance when not acceptable or under expectations.
- Prioritize all direct reports daily activities to ensure they meet their PDR’s goals.
- Coach and develop the team to High Performance while fostering a culture of team ownership.
- Ensure team compliance with all policies, procedures and site/company regulations.
- Promote a safety working environment through the risk evaluation and promoting report unsafe situations.
- Improve or develop processes of the key areas under responsibilities promoting the implementation of KPI’s to monitor the trends and taking actions according.
- Provide promptly support to internal customers through a root cause analysis to deliver long term solutions to solve problems arises affecting the smooth operation of our processes.
- Analyse and design lean manufacturing cells using effective systems and simulation tools to optimize, determine use of space, equipment, material, and personnel.
- Assist in developing plant layout in planning rearrangement of facilities, equipment, and operations for better utilization of space within their assigned facility.
- Administrate the ERP software and keeping updated according to engineering, production, financial, design and supply chain requirements.
- Coordinate and Implement engineering changes according ECI process.
- Coordinate and participate in the teams organized by QA to solve specific problems providing support in technical topics related with product and/or process. MRB, 8D´s, control plan, Field failures and out of the box analysis, root cause analysis and others.
- Develop and maintain the engineering products and process documentation up to date, assembly instructions, product test procedures)
- Manufacturing leadership of NPI’s, transfer and strategic projects performing task under responsibilities and developing tools for track and monitor.
Knowledge and Skills:
Essential:
- Mechanical, Mechatronics or Industrial Engineer
- Advance English Level (B2+-C1)
- At least 5 years of experience in manufacturing environments
- Strong leadership skills
- Project management experience

Managers/Heads of Department
Each Manager/Department Head is responsible for their personal safety and that of all personnel under their authority, including others who may be affected by the company’s activities.
In particular they will:
- Understand and implement the company safety policy.
- Appreciate the responsibilities of personnel under their authority and ensure that each employee knows his/her responsibility and are equipped to play their part.
- Conduct Risk Assessments on activities within their department ensuring that the methods and systems of work are safe. Also, that the necessary procedures, rules, and regulations designed to achieve this are formulated, published, and applied.
- Provide written instructions of work methods outlining potential hazards and precautions, and ensure they are complied with.
- Ensure accident and near-miss reporting procedures are understood and complied with and assist with accident investigations where appropriate.
- Ensure all employees and sub-contractors are suitably trained/competent to carry out the prescribed task and that the necessary licenses/certificates of competence are in force and appropriate.
- Ensure the Statutory Notices, the Safety Policy, Insurance Certificate, and the names of Appointed First Aiders are displayed and maintained in prominent locations.
- Ensure that all new employees in the company are provided with a copy of the policy statement, receive such induction training as may be laid down in procedures, are issued with personal protective equipment as required and their personal responsibilities as set out in this manual.
- Reprimand any employee for failing to discharge their health and safety responsibilities.
- Set a personal example with regard to health and safety matters.
